Brittany J. Walker is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in MD, providing a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds in her current role as a board approved supervisor, clinician, and adjunct professor, within the mental health field. Having received her Bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University for Vocal Music, and a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Liberty University, Brittany has many years of experience offering patient centered treatment to a wide range of persons. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to, trauma/family trauma and conflict, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ related concerns.
It is Brittany’s goal with each encounter to simply guide her clients to realizing their inner power and value, and to provide them with a skill set to place them on the path towards a more fulfilled existence. She has worked with clients over the entire lifespan, and now, currently, focuses on working with older adolescents and adults. Through her experiences of providing trainings since her internship, Brittany has a passion to not just educate future clinicians, but to also utilize speaking engagements and trainings that she has facilitated to assist clinicians and non-clinicians to utilize concepts from the mental health field to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and how they can better navigate the world around them. Mental health is not just a job for Brittany, but an innate passion that she reflects and emphasizes in every component of her life. Her philosophy for counseling, and being an educator and trainer, communes with her personal approach to life, which is to continue pressing forward, accepting imperfection and embracing oneself.
